What would your perfect path look like?

When Jenalee and I were discussing possible names for what would ultimately become Rich Life Adventures, we wanted to convey something meaningful to us, without being too, well, heavy.

As much as we want to live a life of joy and adventure, and inspire others to pursue the same, we realize that our values may not precisely line up with yours. We’re less about impressing our ideals upon you and are more about helping you define and pursue your Rich Life- whatever that may look like.

We don’t claim to live a rich life because we’re rollin’ in dough.

We live a Rich Life because we defined our values and ambitions for our life. Then, we crafted a life that supports those values and ambitions.

Plus, our last includes the word Rich, and everybody loves a good play on words, right?

When we think of the ways we live a Rich Life, a lot of things come to mind. But we wanted to be intentional, yet keep it simple, so we landed on four tenants that are most important to us.

For us, a rich life is full of:

1) Joy

2) Curiosity

3) Meaningful Connections

4) Contributions beyond ourselves

Of course, there are a million other things that could be included in this list. But we wanted to keep it short and sweet, so we landed on these items.

Why?

Because, to us, a rich life is ultimately about finding joy in everyday experiences.

Our rich life is having an insatiable curiosity that leads to new and exciting adventures.

Our rich life is about making connections with others- be it a brief moment at a cafe or a lasting friendship among entire families.

Our rich life is one in which we’re making contributions beyond ourselves. Whether it’s uplifting the people and communities around us or lending mother nature a helping hand.

That’s the rich life we’re creating and sharing about on this website and our socials.

We believe you can live a rich life, too.

We don’t have major extenuating circumstances that have given us financial freedom and resources.

We’re pretty normal, albeit quirky, people.

We’ve probably shared similar struggles, excitements, and sadness. We know we’re incredibly fortunate and blessed, but we believe that a Rich Life can be had by anyone. Our being firmly planted within the middle class didn’t hinder us from creating a life we love.

You don’t have to be wealthy to have a Rich Life. You don’t have to live it perfectly or without struggles, either. But, you can- and should- define your own Rich Life.

Let’s roll!
